We are the association “AI Research Institute for People” — a non-profit Vienna-based association for human-centred AI research, focused on accessibility, inclusion and digital participation.
Our mission
Research on equal terms
Technical development shapes who can take part in the digital world. We research and communicate artificial intelligence so that people with and without disabilities can take part in it as equals, on an equal footing.

Accessibility & digital participation
AI-supported tools that open up access to information and technology for everyone — regardless of sight, hearing, motor skills or prior knowledge.
Assistive technologies
Research and development of applications that concretely support people with disabilities in everyday life.
AI ethics & algorithmic fairness
Privacy, AI safety and fair systems — so technology reduces social inequality instead of reinforcing it.
Current status
The association has begun its work
The association has been entered in the register of associations and holds legal capacity since 5 June 2026 (ZVR 1547230392). We are building up research, events and collaborations step by step — and this website grows with them.
